Abstract:
This dataset is the complete publication package for version 1.0 of a harmonized marine sediment chronology framework for the subarctic North Pacific. It brings together the provenance and supporting material for 18 canonical age–depth models representing records from the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, Sea of Okhotsk, and open subarctic North Pacific. The archive contains the master inventory, audited radiocarbon determinations and dated-depth clusters, Bacon input and supporting files, 18 canonical 201-point posterior age products, sampling-adequacy and descriptive model diagnostics, LiPD archives, proxy-availability and demonstration files, data dictionaries, governance/audit records, and checksums. Radiocarbon-based reconstructions use Marine20 with regionally specified reservoir corrections under a common Bayesian modeling protocol; records available only as calibrated calendar-age constraints are retained explicitly as such. The archive is designed to preserve provenance, reproducibility, and interpretation limits alongside the age-model datasets. The primary continuous precision summary is the median posterior 95% credible-interval width; categorical precision classes, where supplied, are derived convenience bins rather than reliability or fitness-for-use ratings. Original proxy measurements and previously published source datasets are not republished as new relational datasets; they are retained or referenced as supporting provenance where appropriate.
