Abstract:
This dataset provides the harmonized age-depth model for marine sediment record MD02-2489 (seg 59-278cm) from the Gulf of Alaska (54.390°N, 148.920°W; water depth 3640 m). The modeled interval spans approximately 7,831 to 21,117 calibrated years BP. Published radiocarbon determinations were screened for traceability and suitability, grouped into 36 independent dated-depth clusters, and recalibrated with Marine20 using a regional reservoir correction of ΔR = 254 ± 200 yr before Bayesian age-depth modeling with Bacon. The published table contains the canonical 201-point posterior age product used in the North Pacific chronology framework, including posterior age estimates and chronological uncertainty through the modeled interval. The reconstruction is intended to provide a traceable and methodologically consistent chronology for comparison with other subarctic North Pacific sediment records; the accompanying bundle documents input provenance, exclusions, model settings, diagnostics, and interpretation limits.
