Abstract:
This dataset provides the harmonized age-depth model for marine sediment record IODP-U1419 (seg3) from the Gulf of Alaska (59.530°N, 144.130°W; water depth 697 m). The modeled interval spans approximately 18,530 to 44,961 calibrated years BP. Published chronology constraints were screened for traceability and suitability and grouped into 45 independent dated-depth clusters. For this record, the project pre-calibrated the radiocarbon constraints with rintcal using Marine20 and the regional ΔR; calibrated calendar-age summaries were then passed to Bacon with cc = 0 ('cal_input_marine20_precal'). These are project-generated pre-calibrated inputs, not published legacy calendar ages. The published table contains the canonical 201-point posterior age product used in the North Pacific chronology framework, including posterior age estimates and chronological uncertainty through the modeled interval. The reconstruction is intended to provide a traceable and methodologically consistent chronology for comparison with other subarctic North Pacific sediment records; the accompanying bundle documents input provenance, exclusions, model settings, diagnostics, and interpretation limits.
