Abstract:
This table contains major- and trace-element X-ray fluorescence data from the Alano di Piave section, northeastern Italy, originally reported by Spofforth et al. (2010) and realigned to the stratigraphic framework and updated age model adopted in the associated study. The original measurements predate the 2010 publication; no new XRF measurements were performed for this compilation. The table includes sample identifiers, stratigraphic depth, major-element oxide abundances, elemental concentrations, and element-to-aluminium ratios. The dataset was compiled to permit reproducible comparison of terrigenous input, carbonate dilution, and redox-sensitive variability with newly generated mineralogical records across the Middle Eocene Climatic Optimum. The values should be used with explicit citation of Spofforth et al. (2010; doi:10.1029/2009PA001738) in addition to the final PANGAEA dataset citation.
