Abstract:
This table contains bulk-carbonate stable carbon- and oxygen-isotope values from the Alano di Piave section, northeastern Italy, originally reported by Spofforth et al. (2010) and reformatted for integration with the mineralogical and mass-accumulation data used in the associated study. The original measurements predate the 2010 publication; no new stable-isotope analyses were performed for this compilation. Values are reported as δ13C and δ18O in per mil relative to VPDB, together with sample identifiers and stratigraphic depth. The record was used to define the onset, thermal maximum, recovery, and post-event intervals of the Middle Eocene Climatic Optimum and to compare the timing of mineralogical, sedimentological, and redox changes. The values should be used with explicit citation of Spofforth et al. (2010; doi:10.1029/2009PA001738) in addition to the final PANGAEA dataset citation.
