Abstract:
This dataset comprises a comprehensive suite of petrological, chemical, and physical property measurements captured from serpentinites and their hydrothermally altered derivatives (talc-rich metasomatites) recovered from the Onnuri Oceanic Core Complex (OCC) in the Central Indian Ridge (11°25'S). The dataset integrates macro- to micro-scale analytical approaches, including whole-rock major element geochemistry, high-precision electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) of secondary silicates, saturation magnetization measurements, and ImageJ digital image processing of vein networks. Additionally, the compilation includes geothermometric and mass-balance (isocon) calculation sheets alongside thermodynamic inputs utilized to constrain crystallization-pressure driven fracturing mechanisms.
