Abstract:
Time-series measurements of sample length and axial strain from quartz sands obtained during cyclic CO2-brine injection. The measurements were conducted under high-pressure conditions using a linear potentiometer and capture compaction behavior during repeated injection and hold periods. Sample length was measured using a linear potentiometer displacement sensor. Axial strain was calculated from the change in sample length relative to a reference sample length.
