Abstract:
The dataset compiles recordings of the Helgoland Oyster Hatchery production seasons 2024 and 2025. European flat oyster spat-on-shell were produced in the Alfred Wegener Institute's hatchery (project PROCEED) to supply MPA management measures in Borkum Reefground and Sylt Outer Reef for oyster reef habitat restoration in the North Sea (project RESTORE). Data comprise daily logs tracking oyster broodstock, larval releases and rearing through the larval and settlement systems, environmental conditions, and phytoplankton feed concentrations. Spat-on-shell settlement and its average length before export are additionally present for production season 2025.
