Abstract:

These datasets contain downhole logging data (Resistivity, P-wave velocity, Sum Gamma Ray , Potassium , Uranium, , Thorium, Magnetic susceptibility, Caliper) from the Gaisbeuren and Lichtenegg boreholes in context of the DOVE ICDP project (Anselmetti et al., 2022). Data are of Late Quaternary age, and describe the lithology of the boreholes drilled in mostly clastic terrestrial sediments. Data were collected to obtain in-situ information on the lithology, also because the recovery rate was uncertain in clastic sediments of varying grainsize and sorting.
