Abstract:
This dataset contains major oxide compositions of glass shards from four Antarctic ice cores: WDC06A (West Antarctica), EDML (Dronning Maud Land), DF2 (East Antarctica), and Skytrain (Skytrain Ice Rise, West Antarctica). The ice cores were recovered during their respective field campaigns and analysed for volcanic glass shards between October 2023 and September 2025. The dataset reports unnormalised weight percentages of SiO₂, TiO₂, Al₂O₃, FeO, MnO, MgO, CaO, Na₂O, K₂O, Cl, and P₂O₅, together with analytical totals for each glass shard.
