Abstract:
This dataset comprises paleoceanographic reconstructions from HU87003-7PC using multiple proxies, including foraminiferal d18O (planktonic foraminifera: Neogloboquadrina pachyderma) analysed on a VG Prism Instrument at NOSAMS, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution; foraminiferal trace metals (Mg/Ca, Mn/Ca, Al/Ca, Fe/Ca, B/Ca and Sr/Ca) (benthic foraminifera: Cibicides lobatulus); foraminiferal Mg/Ca derived temperature (benthic foraminifera: Cibicides lobatulus). d18O is reported relative to the VPDB standard, with analytical precision estimated to be better than ±0.07 ‰. The samples for trace metal analysis were cleaned using clay removal, reductive, oxidative, and weak acid leaching steps following established protocols. Samples with > 5 µg post-cleaning weights were analysed for a suite of trace metal elemental ratios at the ICP-MS Trace Metal Lab at Rutgers University.
