Abstract:
We present relative abundance of the planktonic foraminifera dataset from marine sediment core POPEI_VC2B. Core POPEI_VC2B was retrieved from the South Portugal (36.88 N, −8.07 W), with a vibro corer, from 96 m water depth during the POPEI cruise in 2008. Planktonic foraminifera present in the >150 µm fraction were counted at Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA). These benthic assemblages were done within of the PTDC/CTA-CLI/2884/2021- Impact of climate warming in the coastal upwelling system and primary production off Portugal: a study linking classical and emerging proxies - ICW3P project. The dataset provides information on water mass conditions and associated planktonic foraminifera fauna responses during the last millennium on the Portuguese Margin.
