Abstract:
These data are depth ranges and habitats of all marine taxa from a dataset on Kongsfjorden compiled by Ute Jacob and published by Alyssa R. Cirtwill and Anna Eklöf in the context of a food web study (2020) (https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.1mv20r6), and of cephalopod taxa in Kongsfjorden compiled by the authors. The data are from literature and online sources; all references are provided. Many references were obtained from SeaLifeBase (Palomares & Pauly, 2025) and from FishBase (Froese & Pauly, 2025). Maximum depth of Kongsfjorden is c. 400 m; the data show maximum depth as reported. For polar bear (Ursus maritimus) and seabirds (Aves), minimum depth was set to -1 m.
