Abstract:
We present quality-controlled XRF scanning data and element correlation values for marine sediment cores from IODP Expedition 403 Eastern Fram Strait Paleoarchive, Bellsund Drift Sites U1623 (76°31.8594′N, 12°34.4276′E) and U1621 (76°31.3053′N 12°44.3358′E), drilled at ~ 1,700–1,800 m water depth. Expedition 403 took place between June 4 and August 2, 2024. The cores were scanned in the fall of 2024 using the third generation Avaatech XRF core scanner at the IODP Gulf Coast Repository, College Station, Texas. Site U1623 cores were scanned at ~5 cm step on the spliced core composite depth scale (CCSF-A) from the primary splice, and of 0 to 30 m CCSF-A from the alternate splice (Lucchi et al., in press), with selected sections scanned at a 3 mm step. Site U1621 cores were scanned for 0-33 m CCSF-A at ~5 cm step and 24-31 m CCSF-A at 3 mm step. Data presented here are described in Gonzalez-Lanchas, Libman-Roshal et al. (in review).

Excitation energies (10kV or 30kV) are indicated. Entries with Ar values greater than zero and total counts per second less than or equal to zero have been removed.
