Abstract:
The dataset derives from marine sediment core KC-13, recovered from the central Aegean Sea, Greece (38°14.6012′ N; 25°06.2470′ E; 652 m water depth), during the OTE-2019 expedition (HCMR, R/V Aegaeo). It comprises radiocarbon (14C) dates obtained from monospecific planktic foraminiferal samples (Globigerinoides ruber, white variety), analyzed at the Laboratory for Ion Beam Physics, ETH Zürich (Switzerland). The specimens were hand-picked from the 212–355 μm fraction and rinsed in methanol prior to analysis. The Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) 14C ages were used to develop the age model for marine sediment core KC-13.
