Abstract:
This collection comprises individual data sets collected within the VAMPIRE project during Polarstern cruise PS144 in summer and early fall 2024. The collection includes measurements performed with the G-band Radar for Water vapor and Arctic Clouds (GRaWAC), the Microwave Radar/radiometer for Arctic Clouds (MiRAC), a HATPRO microwave radiometer, wind measurement Metek 3D Ultrasonic Anemometer uSonic-3 Cage MP, disdrometer OTT Parsivel2, infrared surface camera FLIR A315, visual surface camera GoPro HERO11 Black, and visual and infrared images by a Total Sky Imager Camera. Both radiometers were pointed zenith for atmospheric column measurements, and towards the ground at incidence angles typical for passive microwave satellites for surface emissivity measurements following a temporal pattern. In-situ snow and ice measurements like temperature, density and salinity profiles were performed in the radiometers' footprint.
