Abstract:
This dataset includes anhysteretic remanent magnetization (ARM) intensities and median destructive field (MDF) of ARM measured on Plio–Pleistocene sediment samples from IODP Site U1463C, Northwest Shelf of Australia, during Expedition 356. ARM was imparted using a peak alternating field of 100 mT with a superimposed DC field of 100 µT, and MDF values were determined from stepwise AF demagnetization of ARM. These parameters are sensitive to variations in magnetic mineral concentration, particle size, and coercivity. Measurements were conducted on discrete 8 cm³ paleomagnetic cube samples, with depth and age information provided.
