Abstract:
This is version 2.0.0 of the PALMOD 130k marine palaeoclimate data synthesis. The synthesis contains only time series for which a robust chronology based on benthic foraminifera δ¹⁸O and radiocarbon dating is available. The product contains 2,286 time series of eight palaeoclimate parameters from 475 individual sites, each associated with rich metadata, age-depth model ensembles and information to refine and update the chronologies. All age-depth models included in version 1.0.0 have been recalibrated using IntCal20. This version contains 357 time series of benthic foraminifera δ¹⁸O, 468 of benthic foraminifera δ¹³C, 423 of seawater temperature, 482 and 273 of planktonic foraminifera δ¹⁸O and δ¹³C and 128, 111 and 44 of carbonate, organic carbon and biogenic silica content, respectively. The data product is made available here in RDS format, which can be read with the open source software R. To allow access to the data with different software, a LiPD version is available at https://lipdverse.org.
