Abstract:
We used the Riegl VZ-6000 terrestrial laser scanning to perform annual geodetic surveys at 2-4 scan positions situated in the stable terrain area. The GNSS was used to survey three-dimensional coordinates for these scan positions with the system of WGS84 datum and we then produced dense point clouds of the investigated glacier surfaces using RiSCAN PRO® v 2.14.1.The procedures for point cloud processing included direct georeferencing, data registration, data compression, data filtering and interpolation. The processed layers in 2017 were considered as the reference, and the co-registration of the two consecutive layers for the ten glaciers was finished by using the iterative closest point algorithms via RiSCAN PRO® v 2.14.1.
