Abstract:
Here we present an updated age model for ODP Site 138-847. This work builds on the work of Lyle et al. (2019, doi:10.5194/cp-15-1715-2019). We used the physical properties of Site 847 to construct an age model tied to sites in the eastern equatorial Pacific from ODP Site 849 (Lyle et al., 2019). The gamma ray attenuation (GRA), which is equivalent to variations in CaCO3, was used to correlate the Site 847 splice to Site 849. There are 96 tie points over the Pliocene to present.
