Abstract:
This data set contains the data for 1,571 soil samples from Arctic river deltas including %organic carbon, %nitrogen, bulk density, water/ice content and calculated carbon and nitrogen density (in kg m-3). This data is a synthesis of available soil samples from Arctic river deltas and served as main input to calculate the carbon and nitrogen stock for frozen and non-frozen deposits in Arctic river deltas. The data table is related to 1) (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.968905) and includes a reference to the original archived data (if available). Since the data set is a synthesis of many different studies, not all the samples contain all of the information. However, for 99% of the samples, organic carbon values are available and for 87% of all the samples, total nitrogen values are available. If some data are not available for a sample, the cell is left empty in the data set.
