Abstract:
The samples from our peat core were collected using a manual sampling drill and PVC tubes with a diameter of 0.60m. The sampling site is located at Xiyaohu(XYH) peatland (28.44°N, 115.40°E, elevation: 735m). The penetration length is 3.35m, and the total length of the core is 3.00m.
From 2017-10 to 2018-2, δD and δ13C values of long-chain n-alkanes were measured with a gas chromatographer (Trace GC Ultra) connected to a Thermo Fisher Delta V Advantage isotope ratio mass spectrometer. δD values were normalized to the Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water hydrogen isotopic scale. We measured the δ13C values of leaf wax n-alkanes. Analytical conditions were the same as the abovementioned, and the δ13C values were normalized to the Vienna Pee Dee Belemnite (VPDB) carbon isotopic scale.
