Abstract:
In this dataset, the observations by aerial observers and by ship based radar are aggregated into one dataset, outlining slick dimensions and location. This data was used to investigate the behaviour of the different slicks over time (elongation, displacement), as described in the ITOPF final report section 3.1: Oil slick elongation and transport as a result of dispersion.
