Comment:
Depth, sediment (m) is composite depth (mcd). The chronostratigraphy used here is based on the correlation of the site 758 oxygen isotope record from the planktonic foraminifer Globigerinoides sacculifer (Farell and Janacek, 1991, doi:10.2973/odp.proc.sr.121.124.1991), to the global average oxygen isotope record, the SPECMAP stack (Imbrie et al., 1984). This chronostratigraphy is consistent with biostratigraphic data (Shipboard Scientific party, Site 758,1989, doi:10.2973/odp.proc.ir.121.112.1989) and the disappearance of the pink variety of Globigerinoides ruber at 120 kyr (Shackleton and Opdyke, 1973, doi:10.1016/0033-5894(73)90052-5)
