The record covers 0.0567–12.8696 ka BP and comprises 63 observations reported with sediment depth and calibrated age. Reconstructed δ2Hprc values were calculated from measured n-C29 alkane δ2H values. Changes in the relative contributions of grasses and woody plants were accounted for using the relative abundances of long-chain n-alkanes and vegetation-specific apparent hydrogen isotope fractionation factors derived from a compilation of modern European plant-wax measurements. Uncertainty was propagated using 10,000 Monte Carlo simulations per sample; the dataset reports the central reconstructed values and the lower and upper limits of the 68% confidence interval in per mil relative to Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water (VSMOW). The reconstruction was produced to separate variation in precipitation isotope composition from changes in sedimentary plant-wax δ2H caused by shifts in vegetation. The vegetation correction and uncertainty propagation were implemented using the R scripts by Santos (2026) archived at Zenodo (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18694984); the development repository is available at https://github.com/RicardoANSantos/Rotsee_d2Hprc. The underlying measured plant-wax data are archived in PANGAEA under doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.987812, and the complete methodology is described by Santos et al.
