Abstract:
We report planktic foraminifera stable isotopes and benthic foraminiferal assemblage data from southwestern Iberian Margin sites SHAK-08-5P and SHAK-05-3P/3K, spanning ~50-85 ka (i.e. MIS 4/3 transition, MIS 4, MIS 5a). Additionally, deglacial benthic foraminifera assemblage data are reported from site SHAK-05-3K. Stable oxygen and carbon isotopes were performed on the planktic foraminifer species Globigerina bulloides from the 250-300μm size fraction in the Godwin Laboratory, University of Cambridge. Benthic foraminiferal census counts were conducted on specimens picked from the >212μm size fraction. A smaller subset of samples from site SHAK-05-3P was analysed for benthic foraminifera assemblages using the >150μm size fraction.
