<Summary>The Sicily Channel (SC) site has been monitored for thermohaline properties and water mass exchanges since 1993 by two moorings located within parallel trenches in the 150 km-long transect between Tunisia and Sicily. The north-eastern ISMAR mooring (called C01) is typically equipped with instruments recording pressure, temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen and current velocity. This dataset is the result of ADCP records at nominal depth of 409 m from 2013 to 2025. The nominal depth is however subject to slight variations between servicing of the mooring. The speed and direction of currents and echo intensity along the water column have been recorded by means of Teledyne RDI Workhorse Long-Ranger ADCP, with a velocity accuracy of 5 mm/s, and 1 mm/s of resolution. The echo intensity has a precision of +/- 1.5dB. The ADCP has a thermistor for water temperature measureements placed between the beams.
