Abstract:
The chronology data are from IODP Sites U1385 and U1386 collected in 2011 on southwestern Iberian margin as part of the Expedition 339 aboard the JOIDES Resolution. The primary objective was to document paleoclimatic and paleoceanic changes in the subtropical Eastern North Atlantic over the Quaternary. We present 40 chronology tie points based on visual correlation with the LR04 stack (Lisiecki and Raymo, 2005), precession tunning (Hodell et al., 2015), with an additional control point based on the disappearance of large Gephyrocapsa forms dated to ~1240 ka within the interval 410-466 c-mcd.
