<Summary>In preparation for the deep drilling of the Beyond Epica Oldest Ice deep ice core, surface cores were drilled at Little Dome C drilling site to characterise how the climate signal is recorded in the firn. The ICORDA-LDC firn core (75°17.586 S, 122°24.808 E) was drilled in January 2023. We present the isotopic profile of the water from the core. The measurements from the first 3 metres of the core were taken using discrete sampling, whilst the measurements from the following 81 metres were obtained using continuous flow analysis.
