<Summary>We present a planktic foraminifera abundance dataset from marine sediment core MD99-2304, including absolute abundance of total planktic foraminifera and of Neogloboquadrina pachyderma, as well as relative abundance of Neogloboquadrina pachyderma. Counts were done at the fraction &gt;150 μm, at done at NORCE Research AS using a light microscope, between 2022 and 2025. The dataset provides information on environmental conditions and foraminiferal productivity for subsurface waters in the eastern Fram Strait, between 39.4 and 33.7 kiloyears b2k. Core MD99-2304 was retrieved from the eastern Fram Strait (77°37'15.6N, 9°56'54E), with a CALYPSO piston corer, from 1348 m water depth during the Marion Dufresne IMAGES 5 expedition (leg MD114) in 1999. ** For all details see the full metadata description at "https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.993600"!</Summary>
