<Summary>We present an absolute abundance benthic foraminifera dataset from marine sediment core MD99-2304. Core MD99-2304 was retrieved from the eastern Fram Strait (77°37'15.6N, 9°56'54E), with a CALYPSO piston corer, from 1348 m water depth during the Marion Dufresne IMAGES 5 expedition (leg MD114) in 1999. Benthic foraminifera present in the &gt;150 µm fraction were counted at NORCE, using a light microscope at NORCE Research AS. Counts were done within the project period, 2022 to 2025.
