Merian took place from 22 January to 23 February, 2023. The campaign started in Mindelo, Cape Verde, and ended in Punta Arenas, Chile. During the campaign, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) was completely crossed three times at an almost constant longitude of 23˚W yielding three profiles of the ITCZ. Afterwards, a storm was passed in the Roaring Forties, in the South Atlantic. Here, we present data from the Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) profiles as part of a series of standardised data sets of the atmospheric and oceanographic observations gathered during the ARC campaign. The CTD data set contains 41 profiles of sea water pressure, density, temperature, conductivity, salinity, oxygen and nitrogen saturation, turbidity, and fluorescence down to a depth of 500 m and two profiles down to more than 3000 m.</description></descriptions><geoLocations><geoLocation><geoLocationBox><westBoundLongitude>-47.44281542777776</westBoundLongitude><eastBoundLongitude>-22.826090851666663</eastBoundLongitude><southBoundLatitude>-41.07045209361112</southBoundLatitude><northBoundLatitude>10.984407458888889</northBoundLatitude></geoLocationBox></geoLocation><geoLocation><geoLocationPlace>North Atlantic Ocean</geoLocationPlace></geoLocation></geoLocations></resource>
