temperature was recorded every 15 minutes between October 2024 and November 2025 in McMurdo Sound, Ross Sea, Antarctica. Measurements were taken at 25 metres to characterize the temperature regime of the benthic community over the course of a year. Data were collected using a HOBO TidbiT v2 underwater data logger with an accuracy of ±0.2°C. The logger was mounted by scientific divers on the ground next to a large glass sponge (Anoxycalyx joubini).
