Abstract:
This dataset consists of wind measurements taken by the Metek 3D Ultrasonic Anemometer uSonic-3 Cage MP during the Polarstern cruise PS149 in the summer of 2025 from July 2nd to September 1st. The anemometer was mounted on a pole at a height of 206 cm above the upper Peildeck (Observation Deck) and measured continuously at 0.1 Hz during transit and stationwork.

Comment:
The ultrasonic anemometer was mounted with its 'North' direction pointed towards the bow of the ship. Values are relative to ship position and speed which are downloaded from DAVIS SHIP data base (https://dship.awi.de) and added to the dataset.
