Abstract:
Observed and predicted triple oxygen isotope composition of water extracted from leaf, stem and wood samples collected at Belefoungou (BE, Benin), Nalohou (NA, Benin) and Dahra (DA, Senegal) at midday (12 to 14 H UTC). Water was analyzed by Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) after cryogenic distillation. Relative humidity, air temperature, and triple oxygen isotope composition of precipitation preceding the sampling are considered in the Craig and Gordon (Craig and Gordon, 1965) evaporation model + mixing equation (Cernuzak et al., 2016; Alexandre et al., 2018; 2019 and Outrequin et al., 2021).
