Abstract:
This dataset contains concentrations of dissolved trace metals (Al, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, and Pb), rare earth elements (La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu), macro-nutrients (TON, SiOH4 and PO4) and Pb isotope compositions (206Pb/207Pb, 208Pb/206Pb, 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, 208Pb/204Pb) from two off-shore cruises (carried out in April 2018 and June 2021) in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. Seawater samples were collected using GO-Flo bottles, filtered (0.2 µm), and acidified to pH<1.8. All samples were pre-concentrated using the NOBIAS chelate PA-1 resin. Trace metal and rare earth elements concentrations were measured using an Agilent 7500cx Magnetic Sector ICP-MS (Benaltabet, T. et al., 2023). Trace metals from the April 2018 cruise were pre-concentrated on a SC-4 DX SeaFAST pico system and analysed using an Element XR High Resolution ICP-MS (Rapp, I. et al., 2017). Pb isotopes were measured using a Thermo-Scientific Neptune Plus Multi Collector ICP-MS (Benaltabet, T. et al., 2020). Macro-nutrient concentrations were measured using a Flow Injection Quik-Chem 8500 Auto-analyzer (Grasshoff, K. et al.(Eds.), 2009).
