Abstract:
This dataset provides the stable hydrogen isotopic composition (deuterium/hydrogen
Ratio; dD) of selected n-alkanes from the Eemian sediment sequence retrieved from Sokli (Finland) in 2010. The data are presented as values relative to Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water (VSMOW). All parameters are presented against both depth (m) and age (ka BP). The dataset provides information on Eemian climate dynamics (Katrantsiotis et al., 2021). A total of 59 samples were analyzed using a Thermo gas chromatography-isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC-IRMS) system, which consisted of a Trace Ultra GC connected to Delta V Ultra IRMS system via a GC-isolink and ConFlo IV system. Details on the laboratory protocol are provided in Katrantsiotis et al. (2021), and the analyses were carried out at the Stable Isotope Laboratory, Stockholm University, Sweden. A previous version of this dataset can be found on the Bolin Climate Centre database (https://bolin.su.se/data/katrantsiotis-2021-sokli-1).
