<Summary>The EO4PAC dataset contains information about decadal scale coastline position changes and the resulting soil organic carbon fluxes from the permafrost dominated coast of the northern hemisphere. The coastline position changes were quantified using the Landsat trend analysis method, described in Nitze et al., 2017, 2018. Landsat-7/8 scenes captured by the TM, ETM+ and OLI sensors were obtained for the region along Arctic and permafrost dominated coastlines for the time period 2000 to 2020 and land-water transitions for each pixel were detected. Pixels for which changes were detected form polygons which either display the area of coastal erosion or coastal accumulation. Polygons showing erosion were coupled with topographic elevation information from the Copernicus DEM to obtain information of the eroded volume of the coast. Subsequently, we attributed information from two different carbon stock databases (Hugelius et al., 2014, Bartsch et al. 2016) to these polygons in order to calculate the amount soil organic carbon (SOC) mobilized by coastal erosion. ** For all details see the full metadata description at "https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.974139"! ** This data publication consists of three files:
1) A polygon shapefile containing the detected change areas (erosion/accumulation) along the coast with attributed heights and SOC values.
