Abstract:
The Ca and Ti of core MD03-2698 from the Portuguese margin were measured within a series of thirteen chemical elements, using a X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) AVAATECH core-scanner at the BCR-Bremen; units are in counts per area per 30 s (cts). This allows non-destructive, rapid and efficient quantitative analyses done at a 2 cm interval resolution, increased to 1 cm or less in the presence of silty-layers.
