Abstract:
This dataset includes new species-specific foraminifera-bound nitrogen isotope (FB-δ15N) and nitrogen content data for planktic foraminifera from sediment cores in the North Atlantic (MSM58-50-2), equatorial Atlantic (ODP 662), and South Atlantic (DSDP 516). In addition, the dataset includes new benthic foraminiferal oxygen and carbon isotope data from these three sites. For Site DSDP 516, we also measured lipid biomarkers and report TEX86-derived sea surface temperatures, GDGT-related indices, and concentrations. The age models for Sites DSDP 516 and MSM58-50 are reported. Finally, the dataset includes the model outputs for changing continental shelf area over the last 200,000 years as well as the input ice sheet reconstruction, topography (ETOPO1), sea-level history, latitude/longitude coordinates, Jupyter notebook, and Conda environment used to estimate this area.
