Abstract:
DE: Der Vierte Engagementbericht der Bundesregierung widmet sich dem Thema "Zugangschancen zum freiwilligen Engagement", da aus den Ergebnissen des Freiwilligensurveys von 2019 hervorgeht, "dass es erhebliche Unterschiede in der Ausübung und Ausgestaltung von freiwilligem Engagement gibt – beispielsweise nach Geschlecht, Alter, Bildungs- und Migrationshintergrund". Entsprechend untersucht die qualitative Studie folgende Fragen: "Welche Bedingungen, Voraussetzungen und Maßnahmen können die Zugangschancen und Möglichkeiten der Ausübung eines Engagements für die o. g. Gruppen erhöhen? Welche Hindernisse gibt es?" Zur Beantwortung wurden elf Gruppendiskussionen durchgeführt. Die jeweiligen Gruppen wurden entsprechend je einer Kategorie sozialer Ungleichheit ausgewählt und zusammengestellt. Berücksichtigt wurden die Ungleichheitskategorien Migration, Geschlecht, Klasse, Stadt-Land und Behinderung; zudem wurde eine regional diverse Verteilung sichergestellt. Der Datensatz enthält die Transkripte der elf Gruppendiskussionen und besitzt vielfältige Nachnutzungspotenziale: er eignet sich z.B. für Sekundäranalysen der soziogenetischen Typenbildung, zu Mechanismen der Reproduktion sozialer Ungleichheit, zu engagementbezogenen Motivationen, Reflexionen und kollektiven Deutungsmustern sowie zur Bedeutung informeller Netzwerke.
EN: The Federal Government's fourth civic engagement report is dedicated to the topic of "opportunities for access to voluntary engagement", since the results of the volunteer survey from 2019 indicate "that there are significant differences in the exercise and design of voluntary work - for example according to gender, age, educational and migration background". Accordingly, the qualitative study investigates the following questions: "What conditions, prerequisites and measures can increase the chances of access and the possibilities of exercising a commitment to the above-mentioned groups? What obstacles are there?" Eleven group discussions were held to answer the questions. The respective groups were selected and compiled according to a category of social inequality. Categories such as migration, gender, class, urban-rural and disability were taken into account and a regionally diverse distribution was ensured. The dataset includes the transcripts of these 11 group discussions and has multiple potentials for secondary analyses including, e.g., sociogenetic typifications, mechanisms of reproduction of social inequality, volunteering related motivations, reflections and collective beliefs, or the role of informal social networks.
