Abstract:

Multibeam bathymetry raw data were recorded in the South Atlantic and Indian Ocean during cruise MSM59/2_Transit that took place between 2016-12-26 and 2016-12-28 on a transit from Port Luis, Mauritius to Cape Town, South Africa. Data were collected outside EEZs using a vessel mounted Kongsberg EM122. This data is part of the DAM (German Marine Research Alliance) underway research data project. Underway data are collected continuously on German research vessels and can include data from transits or from the entire cruise and are shared in line with the FAIR principles.
