Abstract:
This dataset contains 22 new sites at the Chilean margin to verify the functionality of common regional and global calibrations for GDGTs and potential depth habitat based on the GDGT [2]/[3] ratio. This dataset is complemented by various previously published sites along the northern Chilean margin (Kaiser et al., 2015), the Drake Passage (Lamping et al., 2021), the New Zealand margin, and the pelagic South Pacific (Jaeschke et al., 2017; Ho et al., 2014), to place into an overall South Pacific pattern.
