Abstract:
The meteorological observatory Neumayer continuously acquires meteorological parameters since 1982-03. Measurements are taken on or near a meteorological 10m-mast, radiation measurements on designated radiation racks or solar tracker. Since 1992 the station is a member of the Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN), and radiation measurements are published in separate BSRN-datasets. The measurement interval was 10 minutes until 1992-03, then changed to 5 minutes, and was again changed to 1 minute in 1998-02. Data is quality controlled: All measurements are checked daily on site and again prior to publication according to BSRN standards. Knowingly affected or erroneous data is removed.
