δ2H analyses of n-alkanes were conducted on a MAT 253 isotope ratio mass spectrometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific) coupled via a GC IsoLink operated at 1,420 °C to a GC (TRACE, Thermo Fisher Scientific) equipped with a PTV injector and a HP-5ms column (30 m, 0.25 mm, 1 μm).
