Site GeoB21367-1 was positioned outside the mud volcano near its northwestern rim. In order to determine C/N values (total C/total N), as well as contents of total carbon, inorganic carbon and organic carbon, sediment samples were taken from the core with cut-off syringes and transferred into glass vials. The sediment samples were analyzed with a vario EL III elemental analyzer (Elementar Analysensysteme GmbH). Contents of organic carbon were determined after removal of inorganic carbon through acidification.</description></descriptions><geoLocations><geoLocation><geoLocationPoint><pointLongitude>17.60921667</pointLongitude><pointLatitude>38.2109</pointLatitude></geoLocationPoint></geoLocation><geoLocation><geoLocationPlace>Sartori mud volcano</geoLocationPlace></geoLocation></geoLocations></resource>
