Abstract:
Measurements of acquisition of isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM) and its subsequent alternating field demagnetization. Maximum Isotermal remanent magnetization was acquired at 1000 mT with a pulse magnetizer along the u-channels' z-axis and then AF demagnetized with a cryogenic magnetometer.

Parameter(s):
# | Name | Short Name | Unit | Principal Investigator | Method/Device | Comment |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | DEPTH, sediment/rock | Depth sed | m | Elkina, Daria | Geocode | |
2 | Demagnetization step | Demag step | mT | Elkina, Daria | Magnetometer, cryogenic | |
3 | Isothermal remanent magnetization intensity | IRM intensity | mA/m | Elkina, Daria | Pulse magnetizer and cryogenic magnetometer | IRM Intensity, where Demag step is 0, is the intensity acquired with a pulse magnetizer at 1000 mT but measured in the second time next after the initial IRM acquisition measurement at 1000 mT was performed. The latter is used for the pseudo S-ratio calculations. Thus, the IRM intensity values at 1000 mT here and in https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.949240 differ slightly. |
