Abstract:
These sea ice photographs were taken during the 2022 Endurance Expedition aboard the South Africa's polar research vessel, the SA Agulhas II. The images depict the various sea ice types and concentrations encountered in the Weddell Sea. The images were obtained to better understand how in-situ sea ice conditions compare to those described by remote-sensed and modelled sea ice data.
