https://www.pangaea.de/ information publisher tableDigital Raw multibeam bathymetry data were collected aboard RV Sonne during cruise SO97/2 using an Atlas Hydrosweep DS multibeam echosounder. The expedition took place during 1994-08-24 and 1994-09-05 from Dutch Harbour, USA to Tokyo, Japan in the Pacific Ocean. Data were recorded outside EEZs at an average depth of approximately 3000m. The data are unedited and come in .0/ dux format which is equivalent to the mbsystem .mb21 format. There is no information about sound velocity correction made. There are no extra SVP files provided in this publication. Data are unprocessed and can therefore contain incorrect depth measurements (artifacts) if not further processed. Note that refraction errors can be expected due to the lack of proper SVP. The data are stored at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany (Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie, BSH) and have been submitted to PANGAEA database for data curation and publication. completed Wölfl, Anne-Cathrin
