Abstract:
Expedition SO268 was part of the JPI Oceans project MiningImpact to assess the environmental impacts of deep sea mining of polymetallic nodules in the Clarion Clipperton Zone (CCZ). To study the amount of suspended particulate matter in the water column water samples have been taken by Niskin bottles on the CTD-Rosette. These samples have been filtered and this dataset contains the filter weights and the turbidity values simultaneously measured by the WetLabs OBS and the JFE OBSs.
